InvoiceLelo is an online invoicing tool available through its website (invoicelelo.in) and mobile application. This page explains what information InvoiceLelo collects when you use the service, how that information is used, and what happens to it.
If you have questions after reading this, you can reach us at invoicelelo@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up or sign in to InvoiceLelo using Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We store these in your InvoiceLelo profile to identify your account.
InvoiceLelo uses Google Sign-In for authentication. We do not store your Google password. We do not offer phone number authentication or email/password authentication at this time.
Business Information
After creating an account, you can add your business details through Settings — business name, phone number, email address, postal address, and GSTIN. This information appears on the invoices you generate and is saved to your profile so you do not have to re-enter it each time.
Invoice and Customer Information
InvoiceLelo stores the invoices you create and the customer information you enter. This includes customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, and the line items, quantities, prices, and tax details on each invoice. This data is used to provide the invoicing functionality — saving your work, displaying your billing history, and letting you reuse customer records.
Item Catalog
If you save products or services to your item catalog, InvoiceLelo stores the item name and unit price so you can add them to future invoices quickly.
Uploaded Files
You can upload a business logo and a digital signature image to include on your invoice PDFs. These files are stored in Firebase Storage under your account. You can also upload business verification documents (such as a GST registration certificate or Udyam registration) if you choose to get your business verified. These files are stored securely and used only for the verification process.
Invoice Preferences and Settings
InvoiceLelo saves your invoice preferences — such as invoice number prefix, starting number, currency, payment details (UPI ID, bank account information), and footer notes. These are part of your account settings and are used to pre-fill your invoice forms.
How We Use Your Information
The information stored in your InvoiceLelo account is used to:
- Provide and operate the InvoiceLelo invoicing service
- Generate and display your invoices
- Save your business and customer details for reuse across invoices
- Allow you to access your billing history
- Process business verification requests
- Respond to support requests you send to us
InvoiceLelo does not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your invoice content, customer information, or business details for advertising purposes.
How Information Is Stored
InvoiceLelo uses Firebase — a platform provided by Google — to store and manage user data. Specifically:
- Firebase Authentication manages your sign-in session and account identity.
- Cloud Firestore stores your profile, business information, invoices, customers, and item catalog.
- Firebase Storage stores uploaded files — your business logo, digital signature, and any business verification documents.
Firebase infrastructure is operated by Google and data is stored on Google Cloud. Firebase has its own privacy and security practices documented at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising
The InvoiceLelo website uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads.
AdSense does not have access to the invoices, customer records, or business information in your InvoiceLelo account.
When Information May Be Shared
InvoiceLelo does not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Your data may only be accessed or processed in the following circumstances:
- By Firebase (Google) as the infrastructure provider, in accordance with their privacy policy.
- By us, to respond to a support request you submitted.
- If required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
Data Security
Access to your Firestore data is controlled by Firebase Security Rules that restrict each user to their own documents — no other InvoiceLelo user can access your invoices, customers, or business information. Uploaded files in Firebase Storage are similarly access-controlled.
Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth using Google Sign-In, which means we never handle or store your Google password.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your InvoiceLelo account is active. If you request account deletion, all of the following are permanently deleted:
- Your Firebase Authentication account
- Your user profile and business settings
- All invoices you created
- All customer records
- Your item catalog
- Your uploaded logo, signature, and verification documents
- Your invoice verification records
OTP sessions used for business verification expire automatically within 10 minutes and are deleted by the system regardless of account status.
Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your InvoiceLelo account and all associated data at any time by visiting invoicelelo.in/delete-account. The deletion process is described on that page.
Children's Privacy
InvoiceLelo is a business invoicing tool and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We may also send a notice to the email address associated with your account if the changes are significant. Continued use of InvoiceLelo after a change means you accept the updated policy.
